Hello

Reflections
Self reflecting to build my emotional self-awareness and gain a better understanding of my strength and weakness
-
Can't speak the common language.
- As i was young, i have studied and stayed in Cambodia for 6 years when i was 4. Studying and talking in English for 6 years while i had as little experience talking or learning in Malay there, i would even talk to my parents in English there. However 9 years has passed, and my Malay has definitely gotten better, but even then i would still have a hard time understanding what people are trying to say, So when i got accepted to PPB, i would have a hard time trying to grasp what the teachers or my scout/friends are trying to say, i could only rely on some of my friend's help that know's both English and Malay and translate to me. I am very confident on my English but very weak on my Malay, so overcoming this might take awhile.

2. Doing group projects at home during the COVID-19 quarantine.
- During the COVID-19 pandemic, We were require to go home and quarantine our self. But that wouldn't stop us from doing our daily studies and task, we would have online class using a video call application called ZOOM, Edpuzzle.com and classroom.google.com to do our task or homework, i don't have trouble doing these things as i have a mid to high range PC with fast wifi but i cant say the same for some of my classmates. In some of our exercise we would have to do a group task or project, while communicating is hard enough since we cant see each other in real time and everyone will talk at the same time making it even more harder to understand what they are saying and so they have to repeat what they just said, there would also sometime be loud background noises when we use ZOOM or have a group video call and so we can't hear the teacher or our classmates are saying. We would also have lag and stutter and so the voice of my classmates would either stutter, pause, or disconnect which later then they have to reconnect again. But even then we still try to overcome this and continued on even though the troubles i listed above keep's recurring and we all try to work it out together and finish our task no matter how long and troublesome it is.

3. Marching
- Before the world pandemic of the corona virus, we would have marching activities every week from January till march. And now we are starting to have marching activities again this September, It use to be my dislike activity because of the harsh training and the heat from the clear sunny sky as we would always march outside for hours; trained by a high rank soldier, at first i never knew why we had to march, until it was to discipline ourselves and show respect to our elders, seniors, or anyone on a high status or rank. It was to help to exercise our mind and body, to be completely aware of our surrounding and to be respectful in the environment we work in whether it would be the present or future. It gives us the opportunity to grow as unique individual and for that i am grateful and prideful.

4. Time management
-As school progress, my free time depletes as i have multiple projects, studies, other classes, and school activities to be done.It tends to give me headaches and stress as i have multiple activities to be done, I try to finish whatever project comes first as it helps lessen the burden on the next project or activities. After i'm done with whatever project i'm finish with, i would play games on my PC or phone as it helps giving my mind a feeling of reassurance and relaxation following release from anxiety or distress, playing games helps me cope with these negative emotions. School activities, Project, and classes are important as it defines our future; however, your mental health should always comes first in my opinion. I am still grateful that i get study at PPB as although, it did gave me stress and headaches, it did gave me a new learning experience and skills i never knew i had before, having these less time made me realize my strength and weakness.
